IHM-SSS runs two homes at Pantruti and Cuddalore. The homes serve the needs of people affected by leprosy. They presently support 38 patients and their families. The mission of the homes is to prevent disability, provide adequate medical care, as well as to reduce the occurrences of new cases through community education. IHM-SSS also provides patients with rehabilitation and occupational therapy necessary to integrate back into their community. The homes provide temporary shelters for patients’ families to stay with them.
